JD Wetherspoon withdraws Jersey pub application
The UK pub chain JD Wetherspoon has withdrawn its application for a licence to open a pub and restaurant in St Helier.
The company said it needed more time to prepare the application and would resubmit in September.
The group had wanted to move into the vacant Bar Rock site on the Waterfront.
The chain originally applied for a first, third and seventh category licence to serve alcohol and serve food at the pub.

Also applying for a new licence is Barbecue Boss on Rouge Bouillon, which wants a sixth category licence so it can act as an off licence.
